Serena Williams, tennis champion, occasional actress, and part-owner of the Miami Dolphins, is now a rapper, too.
Williams reportedly recorded an album last year in Florida at B Major Music Group, which is owned by Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie.
Her style even mimics Lil’ Wayne and Nicki Minaj’s “hashtag’ approach, a form where the spirit of a line is summarised with a single, final word.
The preview was enough to impress Californian MC, The Game, who told TMZ that Williams was the real deal. Calling her a “really talented artist,” and attributing her “raw skills” to her Compton upbringing. ”You shouldn’t expect her to come with anything less than the official rap bars,” he said, “I can see her doing big things.”
Though there’s no confirmation yet whether Williams will be making the rest of her rap music public.
