Powerful, Stunning, and Extremely Talented are just a few words that describe, but one word sums it up “Humble” 18 year old Singer/Songwriter Cristina Quinones, was known to her fans as Tyna Q. This extremely talented Teen with her newly-minted blend of pop, rock, soul and dance has made her the frontrunner to usher in a new generation of music fans that are hungry for an artist with the star quality that made the late Selena Quintanilla so popular worldwide.
The Global music movement is far more than a trend. Cristina’s presence reflects the atmosphere and attitude of the Modern America, where minorities and people of mixed heritage are present everywhere from the White House to the Opera House. The youth are most certainly accustomed and intrigued by the diversity that is regularly being portrayed on networks such as Nickelodeon and the Disney Channel.
Cristina’s magnetism, partnered with an enviable beauty and girl next-door charm, all hint at success for years to come. Growing up in a multi-cultural family has proven to be instrumental in allowing her to musically express her roots in the Hispanic and American culture. Cristina has been influenced by and compared to the likes of Pink, Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Clarkson, and of course the late, great Selena Quintanilla.
With well over 800 performances under her belt in the past 7 years, including several televised performances, Crisitna Quinones is a seasoned performer who knows how to put on a riveting show. Cristina Quinones definitely held her own amongst the list of Inductees and Grammy Award winning Music Artists as she performed at the 32nd Annual Georgia Music Hall of Fame Awards show and received “The Bill Lowery Horizon Award” on September 11th, 2010 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre (located in Atlanta.) This award and recognition is occasionally given to an “up and coming” performing artist, with significant ties to the State of Georgia, and who is expected to make a significant future. Cristina then again received another Music Award the “Young Achiever Icon Award” on February 23rd, 2011 at Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga. The BEFFTA Awards are launched in London, England. Even with all her success, this is only the beginning for young Miss Cristina Quinones. She is steadily gaining momentum, with slowing down … nowhere in sight.
